Municipal climate plans: overview of successful experiences and recommendations (Climate Infokit: brochure)
This brochure describes the challenges and conditions associated with climate change that require action at the local level. The current directions of climate action and examples of successful experience of cities and municipalities of different countries, including the Nordic countries and Russia, are presented. The article shows the view of public organizations on the priorities and possibilities of actions of municipalities to create and implement climate strategies and plans that meet international agreements and national decisions. The brochure is published in Russian.
This material has become a stage in the development of the activities of non-profit organizations to support the climate actions of the regions of Russia to implement the provisions of the national Climate doctrine of the Russian Federation and the international Paris Climate Agreement. The brochure is intended for environmental activists working in the field of global climate change, journalists, municipal leaders and the general public.
