Команда активистов ШПИРЭ в Центральном федеральном округе (ЦФО), члены РСоЭС,  собрала коллекцию лучших фильмов, созданных нашими школьниками в рамках конкурсов ШПИРЭ в 2010 – 2017 гг. Анонс авто-фильмо-тура был отправлен в небольшие поселения Брянской, Московской, Калужской, Ярославской, Орловской областей по электронной почте в конце августа.

15 апреля в Российской государственной библиотеке для молодёжи прошёл стендап «Расскажи свою идею министру», где член Совета Российского социально-экологического союза и со-координатор молодежной программы Дарья Мытарева представила всероссийскую молодежную кампанию «Посланники климата».

Владельцам небольших установок возобновляемых источников энергии (ВИЭ) разрешат не только подключаться к сети, но и сдавать излишки произведенной энергии - заместитель председателя Правительства РФ Аркадий Дворкович поручил профильным ведомствам разработать план по увеличению возможностей для развития микрогенерации.

The combination of energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources will free the economic growth from CO2 emissions into the atmosphere, say the authors of the new World Energy Outlook 2016 report by the International Energy Agency.

The year 2016 has not become a game-changer for renewable energy in Russia, yet it did bring a few things that gave us the reason to be optimistic. Special means of support for RES were promised, several documents that lay the basis for providing subsidies and other incentives to RES were adopted, new facilities have been brought online in Russia’s regions. Now is the time for core changes in Russia’s energy development strategy, say environmental NGOs.

On December 14, Friends of the Baltic NGO, SPARE experts and Ecocentrum Ltd with the support of Profine-RUS (JSC) and school № 579 organized and conducted a training-seminar for Saint-Petersburg and Leningrad region school Ecoadvisers.

The environmental/energy Interfax-ERA Rating Agency published the energy efficiency rating of Russian regions. Its leaders became the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District, Republic of Tatarstan, City of St. Petersburg, Belgorod and Murmansk Regions and Altay Krai. The ratings show some success stories but as a whole, the energy efficiency programs do not operate in full force and even the leading regions have huge potentials for enhancement of their energy efficiency, representatives of public environmental organizations believe.

Observers and participants of the Climate Conference of the UN FCCC (СОР22) in Marrakech (Morocco) articulate their expectations. Representatives of public environmental organizations push for the global community to abandon hazardous and risky projects and provide support to the development of well-tried low-carbon technologies.

In the days of the UN Climate Change Conference in Marrakech (СОР22), a “Clean Energy” conference took place in St. Petersburg. It was dedicated to the issues of energy and sustainable development, balance of business interests and preservation of natural resources.

November 1-3, in the suburbs of St. Petersburg Russian Social ecological Union/Friends of the Earth Russia held the conference "Climate and energy. Solutions for the future". Event was attended by 62 representatives of 30 environmental non-governmental organizations (NGOs) from 7 Federal districts of the Russian Federation. International seminar on NGO cooperation within the Civil society Forum EU-Russia "Energy sustainability and climate adaptation of regulated aquatic ecosystems management" and international seminar "Strengthening NGOs in promoting energy efficiency to local communities development and climate protection" happened within the days of conference.
